Optimal LED Viewing Distance
The optimal viewing distance for an LED display depends on the screen resolution, size, and pixel pitch. For high-resolution displays such as 4K UHD, the ideal viewing distance generally ranges from 1 to 1.5 times the screen size.
- 55-inch display: Ideal viewing distance is approximately 5.5 – 7.5 feet
- 65-inch display: Ideal viewing distance is approximately 6.5 – 9 feet
For professional LED video walls, a simple rule of thumb is:
Minimum Viewing Distance (meters) ≈ Pixel Pitch (mm)
Example:
- P10: Minimum ~10 meters
- P6: Minimum ~6 meters
- P4: Minimum ~4 meters
